Gayle at Albany Medical after 2 four-hour surgeries.

Ex fixator on leg

Most photos taken by Gayle’s mother, Peg Andrew.

Physical therapy at Albany Medical

Gayle had a wonderfully inventive Occupational Therapist in Albany Medical. One of the first things Jan had Gayle do was ripping one-ply tissue paper.
That’s really all Gayle could do. And Jan had to start the tear for her!

Devin Shea after a car accident

A month after the accident, Devin is in a wheelchair at the Fourth of July
Parade in Pittsfield, MA with his friend Tim, his Grandfather, and his niece.

Two months later at Laurel Lake Nursing home in Lee, MA Gayle’s mom feeding her.

Peg Andrew feeding her daughter Gayle Andrew after a car accident

An “outing” with her father in the parking lot of the nursing home.

Gene Andrew taking his daughter Gayle Andrew for a stroll after a car accident

This was Gayle’s first walk at The Cape. “MacGyver” (Jess) invented discs for her sticks for added stability. Once home, we saw something similar on the web.

Gayle Andrew learning to walk on sand at E. Falmouth, MA

Of all that Gayle was able to do after the accident, nothing has given her as much back as the horses at Equus Therapeutic in Williamstown, MA.

There are many more photos in the soon-to-be-published book, "Accidental Journey."
